Come join us at one of the most beautiful scenic locations in the world - Arches and Canyonlands National Parks during both Orion and Milky Way seasons! Also, we intend to capture the "Double Milky Way Arch" in Arches National Park during this workshop.
Our experienced staff will guide you to the parks best locations for Nightscapes and Landscape scenery and provide instruction in Nightscapes, and Astrophotography. Limited to 12 participants. (Coupon codes and other discounts cannot be used for this event unless previously approved.)
Your workshop fee provides the following:
- March 7th - March 11th, 2027 guided photo shooting tour with instruction. (Shooting until the early late evening hours of the 12th)
- Focusing on Orion Nightscapes and Deepspaces, as well as Milky Way Nighscapes.
- Emphasis on Nightscapes and Astrophotography.
- Use of H-Alpha and various enhancing filters and blending techniques.
- Guided directions to various photography locations inside Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and surrounding areas near Moab, Utah.
- Experienced instructions for the best Nightscape and Astrophotography techniques.
- Introduction to recommended equipment and gear for each types of photography.
- Sunset Photo tour and techniques instruction.
- After dark, Nightscape, and Astrophotography instruction.
- Classroom instructions in post processing (Classes will be recorded and shared for future review).
- FYI, Drones are not allowed inside the national parks.

All deposits ($1200.00) are non-refundable at time of payment. Any full payment reservation received before January 1, 2027 will receive a $200.00 discount off the total amount of $2,600.00, making your total cost $2,400.00. After January 1, 2027 the total cost is $2,600.00 for workshop participation. Full payment for the workshop must be paid in full before January 01, 2027, at which time the total amount becomes non-refundable. Each full payment for the workshop includes attendance for one participant. Group discounts for 2 or more attendants are available upon request and if reservation is paid within one week of each reservation. Non-participating companion(s) are accepted only with prior approval and may incur an additional fee as room is limited. Spencer's Camera is fully licensed by the National Parks Service (CUA Permit) and fully insured. Also, our staff members are licensed in First Aid and CPR.
We do not provide hotel accommodations, transportation to and from shooting locations, meals or equipment. Equipment rentals are available if requested before January 1, 2027. We plan to hike to some locations that may be up to 1/2 to 1 mile from the vehicles and will cover rocky terrain. Please keep this in mind when making any reservations. Also, March can be very cold during the dark hours. Please come prepared for cold temperatures.
We recommend bringing your own Star Tracker if possible. We have star trackers for rent upon request. Please email for more information.
Non-Shooter companions must pay full price as we are limited on the number of persons allowed in our group by the National Parks Service.
