Milky Way Reflections Photo Workshop July 30th - August 2nd, 2027
Come join us in the pristine Uintah Mountains of Utah to capture the Milky Way reflecting off the crystal clear lakes of this high mountain location. Our first meeting will be on July 30th at approximately 6:00 PM. We will discuss detailed plans, equipment, locations, and introductions. The workshop will close in the late evening hours of August 2nd.

It is our philosophy to spend as much time as possible shooting in the field while at our workshops. We will meet well before sunset and arrive at our first shooting location in time to capture the beautiful late evening light.

Some locations will require driving on dirt roads and it is suggested that your vehicle be a four wheel drive similar to a Toyota 4-Runner. We will also be hiking to some incredible locations that require up to 2 miles of hiking to reach. Please reach out for any questions regarding access to our shooting locations.

The High Uintah Mountains area is well known for high elevation atmosphere providing amazing photography conditions. The weather can be unpredictable including late afternoon rain showers that usually disipate shortly after sunset, revealing amazing clear skies. It is suggested that you come prepared for a wet environment. Usually this is not the case but things change quickly in higher elevations. Water proof GoreTex type shoes are highly recommended as the lake edges can be marshy. The workshop schedule will be adjusted according to current weather conditions.
