I must admit, I was a little skeptical to use your company for the first time for my astroconversion but the quality workmanship has proven to be worth it.  We finally had clear skies for the past week and the conversion has proven to be wonderful.  All my images are clear of dust and the digital noise is noticeably lower than my earlier camera.  I am confident in shooting very long exposures knowing the results will be great.  Astrophotography is a uniquely difficult hobby and having good equipment makes all the difference.  There is nothing more frustrating than equipment limitations especially poor camera quality.  The time and effort you have invested in developing your astroconversion is well worth the results.

I have used Spencer's Camera & Photo for many IR conversions and a few Astroconversions totaling more than a dozen cameras. I have nothing but good to say concerning their workmanship and professionalism. I first found them after a bad experience with another conversion provider which left my camera non-functioning. I sent it to Spencer's Camera & Photo and had it back within a week perfectly repaired and working perfectly. Their pricing was very fair and the camera soon became my favorite IR camera. I have since used them many times often with discounts for being a return customer. They do not need to offer discounts but they do so to say thank you for the repeat business.

I have referred many friends and family members for their IR conversion and Camera Repair services. They have all had great experiences with no complaints. Once I was on a trip in Africa and calle dthem after hours for advise. They answered and were very helpful, helping make my resultant images better. Dear Mr. Spencer:

You converted a Nikon D40x for me and soon after, there was a problem with a capacitor. I sent it back, and you took care of it at no charge, and I thank you for that. That said, I am having a ball with my newly modified camera. It's working great. With the right lenses, the 18-55VR, the 16-85VR and the 80-200 2.8, it is so incredibly sharp, I feel like I'm looking at a 8x10 contact print. I took a photo of Half Dome in Yosemite, and every feature and crevice stands out. I can see the individual branches on the trees on the top of the mountain. And the clouds, the clouds. They make me scream with delight, like Dracula and a gallon of blood.

I just received my camera and have a few questions. How were you able to complete the conversion so quickly. I was not expecting to see my camera for a few weeks but it was back to my home in Vermont within a week. Also, I was told by one of your prominent competitors that the black and white conversion on a Canon XSi would not give me a pure black and white images straight out of the camera. The images I shoot with this camera are pure black and white right from the camera without setting the camera to black and white mode. I'm very pleased with the results of the conversion service provided by you and your staff.
